From Trumpets Of Christ

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1)
The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
Perhaps these verses are familiar to you already. If they are, you might be reciting them over and over in your head lately, for these are uncertain times. These are times when resting in God’s shadow and guarding our minds with peace is all the more important. We are thankful for His peace, for his protection, and his angels bearing us up!
Our team has been leaning on God’s peace and protection these days. We praise Him for who He is in the midst of this crisis: our protector, healer, and provider! Join us in prayer for the nations, that this virus would be resolved soon and that the vaccine be found. Pray that our team would have boldness, courage, and wisdom during these times, to love like Jesus did. Just as it is in the States, the coronavirus crisis in Thailand is worsening and the government making changes daily to try to combat the virus. Pray for the Thai government’s wisdom in that. We are also battling terrible air pollution levels due to wild fires and agricultural burning in our region (pictured below). Again, we praise God for the angels He commands concerning us (Isn’t Psalm 91 perfect for these days?)!
Steps that our team has taken to protect our staff and children include restricting travel, restricting visitors, storing food for our 30+ member community, and taking church online. We are being wise, but also taking note of the neediest in our community and finding ways to help them. We have postponed the kids’ vacation (scheduled in April) until further notice. Our staff is making the best of the situation by doing some homeschooling with our kids during their summer season, and pre-recording services and messages for the online church community! Our team is prepared to feed the people of Faith Village should there be an issue with going to the market or grocery stores.

Before the crisis hit, there were some exciting things that happened! This woman, a former demon-worshiper, was saved at our church and baptized that same day. She is witnessing to her neighbors and other demon-worshipers now, proclaiming Jesus and the freedom she has found! Pastor Paula preached at Victory Church, and Pastor David traveled to one of our connect-churches to minister. We were able to take this photo of our church family at the beginning of March (though some people didn’t make it into the photo)! It warms our heart to see how our church has grown in the last year, and to know that one day, we will all be together like this again! We look forward to that reunion!
